When you place an online order at the webshop of De Winkel van Piet Hein Eek you declare that you agree with the following terms and conditions:
As soon as you have placed an order with us, you will receive an order confirmation by e-mail. On the order confirmation you will find an overview of the items ordered and their costs, including any shipping costs and VAT.
Ordering, payment and delivery of the products
Every order in our webshop results in a payment obligation.
You pay in our webshop via iDEAL or credit card, no extra costs will be charged for this.
When the full amount (unless otherwise agreed) is on our account, your order will be offered to PostNL for shipment within a few days. You will receive a message as soon as your order has been shipped. After sending your order, we have no further influence on the delivery of your package and we are entirely dependent on the deliveries and services of PostNL.
Please note: if you choose the option “standard letterbox post” option, we are not liable for loss and / or damage during shipment of your order by PostNL. Letterbox mail cannot be traced.
If you want more certainty and a track & trace code, choose the “parcel post” option. With parcel post your order is insured against loss and / or damage during shipment by PostNL.
Parcel post is generally delivered within 1 to 2 working days from the moment your package is collected from us by PostNL. We have 2 collection moments during the week: on Tuesday and on Friday.
Your package will be offered once at the specified (home) address. If it is not possible to receive the package and the postman cannot deliver it to the neighbors, the package will be taken to a collection location. You will receive a direct message from PostNL about this.
You are responsible for receiving or collecting your package. If your package is returned to us, because you have not been able to accept or collect it, there is the option to have it sent again by us. This against the full payment of the shipping costs.
You are also responsible for entering the correct (delivery) address. If your order is returned to us, because PostNL was unable to deliver it due to an incorrect address, there is the option to have it sent again by us. This, again, against full payment of the shipping costs.
We adhere to the generally applicable rules regarding Covid-19. Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to collect your order from us. At the moment we can only ship or deliver your order.
It is also possible to have your order delivered within a radius of 10 km from our own address. Inform about the conditions via firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can also pick up your order at Piet Hein Eek’s De Winkel in Eindhoven and pay on the spot by pin, or transfer the invoice amount in advance by bank. You can pick up an order 24 hours after your order at De Winkel van Piet Hein Eek (link opening hours). If this does not work, you will receive an email from us with instructions in time.
Shipping and packaging costs
PostNL’s standard rates are used for sending the order. For orders above € 100.00, De Winkel van Piet Hein Eek will bear the shipping costs (with the exception of discount promotions). The shipping costs of small (flat) orders that fit through the letterbox (letterbox post) are € 4.00. Larger orders fall under parcel post up to 10 kg, the shipping costs are: € 6.50 (PostNL). For shipments above 10 kg we apply a rate of € 13.00.
Larger furniture is delivered to us within the Netherlands at a rate of € 125.00 (with the exception of the Wadden Islands). Our driver always comes alone, please provide lifting assistance if necessary.
Adjusted shipping costs apply to shipments outside the Netherlands and within Europe. For more information you can contact us directly via email@example.com.
Do you live outside the EU? Please contact us directly for the shipping costs. Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Your order will be carefully packaged and gifts will be beautifully wrapped by us (free of charge).
Exchange and return
You have a 14-day reflection period with regard to returning your order(s). Within this period you can return the item(s) to us, provided they are in undamaged condition, unopened and in the original packaging. When the package has arrived with us, you will receive the refund as soon as possible, but in any case within 14 days.
Please note that when returning items, the terms and conditions of the relevant postal carrier apply and these costs are borne by the buyer. Costs of damage and loss are also at the expense of the buyer. The amount of the returned item (excluding shipping costs) will be refunded to you.

Complaints / warranty
Do you have any complaints regarding the delivered goods or other matters? Please contact us at email@example.com within 48 hours after delivery of your package and we will do everything we can to find a solution as soon as possible. In principle, you have a standard one-month warranty on your product, which starts when you receive the product.
All orders are shipped by us in accordance with the PostNL General Terms and Conditions. If you receive a damaged shipment, we request that you notify us within 48 hours of receipt by sending us an e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org. We will reach out to you about the return shipment and your products will be replaced by us free of charge.
Please note: if you forget to inform us of transport damage or if you fail to do so within the set period of 48 hours, your right to warranty will lapse. Naturally, we request that you carefully read the general terms and conditions of the postal carrier with which you are returning the package. If return shipments arrive to us damaged (without prior notice of damage) and have not been sent in accordance with the postal carrier’s terms and conditions, your warranty will lapse and we reserve the right to hold you liable for the damage caused. We therefore advise you to opt for insured return for return transport.
Failure to fulfill the purchase agreement of the seller
If, after receipt of the total amount stated on the order confirmation, the delivery of your order has not taken place within 4 weeks, you have the right to terminate the agreement with us and you can request us to refund the amount paid by you. This only applies in the event that we have not made any other arrangements with you about the time of delivery and / or if we failed to notify you of a possible delay in the delivery of items.
We reserve the right to price deviations. We will inform you of any price deviations or changes. You then have the option to terminate the purchase agreement.
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Piet Hein Eek Shop declares that all address information and personal data provided by you will be used exclusively for the purpose of processing the order. Personal data will not be resold and will not be made available to third parties.
Data that you enter when placing an order or sending a message is stored on our processor’s servers and our payment system ensures a level of security that matches the data to be processed and takes adequate measures to protect data against loss or any form of unlawful processing.
