Piet Hein Eek by Nick Bookelaar In 2021, Nick was at Piet Hein Eek for a year as a reportage photographer and he saw how the place was giving space to a process of transformation. Despite everything being constantly in motion, its individuality remains intact. There is a sense of freedom in this place. Something can emerge here. Piet's vision creates a work ethic that is noticeable everywhere. He attracts people; they are given the space to do it themselves, playfully but not bland. Just do it. There is always something going on in this building. Even the sun plays with the space. So much coincides here. I wanted to capture this in images.
